Why aren't I at Anthrocon already?

I've actually not been feeling like going so far. I'd like to see those people, but convention situations don't seem too favorable for me. I usually end up in the background in most social gatherings that result there. Their activities aren't really too compatible with me (going to events that disinterest me even if I could hear them, going out to eat at places that don't even offer foods I particularly like, room parties where I end up sitting quietly with a bunch of people around me).

That's why I keep not going despite my stated intention of going.

The deafness really doesn't help matters. All conversations are mediated though a slow medium of pen and paper.

I might just find something else interesting to do.

I'm mainly just feeling more profound disinterest than I expected.
