Recruitment for Beautiful Saviors, a magical girl game
This is a recruitment for a surreal and optimistic magical girl campaign. Basically more Sailor Moon or Precure than Madoka, but with some of Madoka's more surreal elements. It will start as soon as people are ready, so in anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few months.
When people lose hope, when they turn full of hatred, when in short they succumb to negative emotions, those very negative emotions gives rise to Nightmares, which spread harmful influences over their surroundings, warping wherever they take root into twisted Realms. This started a couple of weeks ago and there has been a huge furor, to say the least.
But there's hope. And that hope is you, who dreamed of strange creatures asking you if you were willing to lay your life on the line to save people. When you said yes, you dreamed of something unique to you; a field of fragrant blossoms, a colorful ocean reef, or the sea of lights of a city. Whatever it was, you dreamed of something beautiful to you. And then you woke, and a phrase was in your mind.
"Beautiful Salvation." When you say that phrase, a name comes into mind and you find your clothing and even yourself transforming, into a form flowing with magical power. Beautiful Savior Flower. Beautiful Savior Ocean. Beautiful Savior Civilization. And you find that you have the power to fight the Nightmares.
This campaign will be ran in Valor Alter, an alternative version of Valor with less math created by Quinn, one of the original creators of Valor. As Valor Alter is still in a state of playtesting, rules are subject to changing, so be aware of that.
I need the following from you:
Name.
Contact info on Discord (and Plurk if you have that, don't worry about it if you don't).
Time zone and your available times.
Optionally but nice: a character concept. Setting is modern world United States. Age ranges are in the teens. For a concept, a basic idea of what your character's like personality wise, what's going on in their life, and their magical girl name/theme would be nice. If you have ideas for doing something fun and outside the box like an amnesiac, a mascot turned magical girl, a villain turned magical girl, or whatever, particularly if you have concepts that'd have secret elements to them, talk with me about them. :)
You will also need a Roll20.net account. I will be using this for text chatting and battlefield map stuff. The voice and video functions won't be used, as I am deaf.
