Illusion of moral relativism

Many people mistake people who think there are many right ways for people who think there are no wrong ways.

Kinda like Your Favorite Solipsist (me!) having to explain to people that just because I consider reality to be defined by perception, does not mean I am free to ax-murder people. Same for slipping the surly bonds of two-party morality... The phrase, "beyond good and evil," is not a license for chaos. Then again, when confronted with ideas that take more than a sound-bite to explain, most people react negatively, no matter what the idea.
