Shadow Dragon
Jun. 14th, 2003 11:45 amI dreamt of rodents. They lived in those piping-looking tunnels. There was a whole adventure that I forgot, but it ended with them trekking across a field, leaving because of some creepy thing in the tunnels.
I have many dreams about RPGs that never existed. Most of them are not particularly noteworthy. However, I had this one that I suspect was slightly inspired by a bit from the Rym campaign setting (warning: still incomplete, the creator appears to be slooowly filling out the details).
First, though, the obviously NES-inspired bits came first—the graphics. Oh, yeah, and I think I was playing it on an emulator because I made use of save states. The first part I can really recall: a village of small hemisphere-shaped huts. One, as soon as you walked into it, you immediately got a prompt asking if you wanted to pay 50 whatevers for a night’s rest. However, you could look around in the hut, and there were those cavepeople-likes. The interesting thing was that they reacted positively to a low charisma, because they had differing ideas of beauty from everyone else.
